Capturing an image or capturing a moment has become an everyday action. It is important to me not only to capture an image but to put it much more in a context. This is the moment when you can speak of visual language. My beginnings in camerawork were in documentary film and this is also my special relationship that connects me to camerawork.
Besides my work as a cameraperson, I have a special relationship with vintage lenses. This passion became an obsessive collecting of lenses which I offer together with colleagues in our rental altglas-rental.com. Lenses are for me the musical instruments of musicians, each has its own sound and feel which affects the user as well as the images.
